5Rock Ranch is an ideal place to fulfill your calling. If you have a season to help turn the lives of moms and their children into something better, you’ll like 5Rock Ranch. Our resident volunteers stay for a season or up to a year.

You can also bring a team to do a special project or join in working on an existing project. Call it a vacation with a purpose, sweat investing, or being a ranch partner. We can find the right project for you or your group. We offer housing for overnight project guests.

Help with one of our single moms retreats
Help with remodeling projects at the lodge
Help with projects on the ranch like grading, construction, or maintenance

Volunteer Opportunities

If you have a talent, skill, or the willingness to help wherever you're needed, we have a job for you! We are looking for regular, occasional, and one-time volunteers who would love to come alongside us here at 5Rock Ranch and help us get things done.

Here are our current volunteer needs:

a plumber who can come out once a month to help with our plumbing needs.
a handyman who can come out regularly to help fix stuff.
a lady who enjoys cleaning and would love to work with the ladies and help direct them during lifeskills time (1-3pm) one - three days a week.
a person or group who would love to come cook dinner (and clean up) for the 5Rockers 1-4 nights a week.

5Rock Ranch Volunteer Calendar - 2026

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at 5Rock for our events.
We know that God is asking us to have these events available for those He has called to participate.

At this point these are our projected dates for all of our upcoming events. Our goal right now is to help you understand what our needs are so you can pray and see if God would have you help in any way for one or more of these events.

BELOW IS THE LIST OF EVENTS STILL TO COME IN 2026:

J.O.L.T.

This is a quarterly retreat for men. It stands for “Jesus our Lord Time” for men. Our heart is that men can come to the ranch and spend 24 hours with other men to draw closer to Jesus and what He has for them as men.

August 14-15, 2026

December 11-12, 2026

Ideally, we are looking for a team that would love to “own” J.O.L.T. throughout the year.

We are looking for volunteers who can help with the following:

PREPARE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge

DURING EVENT - cook meals & meal clean up (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast & lunch) We have a room at the bunkhouse for you to stay overnight.

AFTER EVENT - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge

T.H.R.I.V.E.

These are quarterly retreats for women. It stands for “Through Honest Real Intentional Vulnerable Encounters”. Our prayer is this will give single moms and ladies who can’t actually move to the ranch an opportunity to encounter the Lord on a weekend, like our residents get to do daily.

September 18 - 19, 2026

November 20 - 21, 2026

THRIVE is a bit more work than JOLT. We want to bless the ladies with table decorations, programs, pretty buffet set up, fancy drinks, etc… We are looking for a team of volunteers who not only help with the cleaning, set up & food prep, but can be a team who commit to praying, planning, and helping implement these T.H.R.I.V.E. weekends throughout the year together.

Volunteer duties would include:

PREPARE - plan, pray, clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, retreat set up

DURING EVENT - cook meals & meal clean up (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast) We have a room at the bunkhouse for you to stay overnight or you can just come up for a day), small group leaders, help facilitate the event.

AFTER EVENT - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, clean up retreat items

FATHER / DAUGHTER SUMMIT

FATHER/DAUGHTER SUMMIT

We have a great opportunity to come alongside dads and daughters. We’ll be launching our first ever Father/Daughter Weekend where we provide a sacred place for dads and daughters to grow in their relationship together and with the Lord. We’re planning on this being a 2 night retreat.

October 9 - 11, 2026

We are looking for volunteers who can help with the following:

PREPARE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, retreat set up

DURING EVENT - cook meals & meal clean up (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast) We have a room at the bunkhouse for you to stay overnight or you can just come up for a day)

AFTER EVENT - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, clean up retreat items

ADVANCE CAMP

We’re bringing back Advance Camp for Young Men. This is an overnight camp where we show fatherless young men (12-18 years old) who our Heavenly Father is through an activity, the Word of God, and godly men.

October 16 - 17, 2026

We are looking for volunteers who can help with the following:

MENTOR - men to come to camp and mentor the young men & follow up throughout the year

PREPARE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, retreat planning & set up

DURING EVENT - cook meals & meal clean up (Friday dinner through Saturday dinner) We have a room at the bunkhouse for you to stay overnight or you can just come up for a day)

AFTER EVENT - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, clean up retreat items

CHRISTMAS RETREAT

This is our annual retreat for single moms and kids. It’s a big deal around here! What a blessing to have over 100 people spend the night at the ranch and experience Christmas together in a beautiful environment with other single moms. We do everything from a Christmas Eve big screen movie, Christmas PJ’s, good food, presents (lots of them), stockings (like 60 hung in front of the fireplace) and homemade cinnamon rolls.

This event is great if you have a friend, family members, or small group that you would like to volunteer with.

HOUSEKEEPING BEFORE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge - this can be done any time within a couple weeks before Christmas.

PREPARATION - stockings, gift wrapping, food prep, PJ sorting, and more - we work on this the week before Christmas. We’ll let you know specific dates if you’re interested in helping.

HELP CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY - cook & serve meals & meal clean up (Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas morning cinnamon rolls then brunch), Christmas Eve movie set up, popcorn & clean up), and someone to oversee it all. Our rooms are limited due to filling them up with families so you’ll need to bring a trailer or just come up for the day.

AFTER EVENT ON CHRISTMAS EVE (around 3pm) - just help us get the food all put away, dishes done & trashes emptied.

WORK DAY Saturday, January 3rd - great for a big group of people. Clean bunkhouse rooms, get lodge back together and clean after Christmas and the Christmas break, clean up all of the Christmas stuff (put things away, clean up Santa’s workshop, etc…

FAMILY CAMP FOR SINGLE MOMS

As a ministry, our goal is to love people and point them to Jesus. Family Camp is a great way to make single moms feel seen and loved. It allows us to start forming relationships with them in hopes of being able to minister to them throughout the year. Thank you for your interest in helping us with this mission. We honestly can’t do this alone!

It will be themed "A 5Rock Country Fair" and is for single moms and her children. The time will be from 10am to 6pm. You can volunteer any amount of time before, during, and after camp and we’ll fit you in the schedule. Just let us know when you can help and we’ll get you more information on what is needed.

Prep, planning & shopping help needed starting July 13th.

Set up is Thursday, July 23rd - Friday July 24th.

Camp is Saturday July 25th.

Clean up is Monday, July 27th

Volunteers are our lifeline. You are what makes these events possible. Our goal is to not only be the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone who God brings to the ranch, but to be the LIGHT of Jesus!
