We are looking for regular, occasional, and one time volunteers who would love to come alongside us here at 5Rock Ranch and help us get things done.

 

Here are our current volunteer needs:

• a plumber who can come out once a month to help with our plumbing needs.

• a handyman who can come out regularly to help fix stuff.

• a lady who enjoys cleaning and would love to work with the ladies and help direct them during lifeskills time (1-3pm) one - three days a week.​

• a person or group who would love to come cook dinner (and clean up) for the 5Rockers 1-4 nights a week.

In addition to our regular volunteers to help with ranch needs, we have created a list of events that are happening at the ranch throughout this year and into 2026.

At this point these are our projected dates for all of our events.  Our goal right now is to help you understand what our needs are so you can pray and see if God would have you help in any way for one or more of these events.

J.O.L.T.  

This is a quarterly retreat for men.  It stands for “Jesus our Lord Time” for men.  Our heart is that men can come to the ranch and spend 24 hours with other men to draw closer to Jesus and what He has for them as men.

Ideally, we are looking for a team of people who would love to “own” J.O.L.T. throughout the year. 

We are looking for volunteers who can help with the following:

PREPARE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge

DURING EVENT - cook meals & meal clean up (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast & lunch) We have a room at the bunkhouse for you to stay overnight.

AFTER EVENT - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge

T.H.R.I.V.E. 

These are quarterly retreats for women.  It stands for “Through Honest Real Intentional Vulnerable Encounters”.  Our prayer is this will give single moms and ladies who can’t actually move to the ranch an opportunity to encounter the Lord on a weekend, like our residents get to do daily.

THRIVE is a bit more work than JOLT. We want to bless the ladies with table decorations, programs, pretty buffet set up, fancy drinks, etc… We are looking for a team of volunteers who not only help with the cleaning, set up & food prep, but can be a team who commit to praying, planning, and helping implement these T.H.R.I.V.E. weekends throughout the year together:

 

Volunteer duties would include:

FATHER/DAUGHTER SUMMIT

We have a great opportunity to come alongside dads and daughters.  We’ll be launching our first ever Father/Daughter Weekend where we provide a sacred place for dads and daughters to grow in their relationship together and with the Lord.  We’re planning on this being a 2 night retreat.

 

October 9 - 11, 2026

ADVANCE CAMP

We’re bringing back Advance Camp for Young Men.  This is an overnight camp where we show fatherless young men (12-18 years old) who our Heavenly Father is through an activity, the Word of God, and godly men.

We are looking for volunteers who can help with the following:

MENTOR - men to come to camp and mentor the young men & follow up throughout the year

PREPARE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, retreat planning & set up

DURING EVENT - cook meals & meal clean up (Friday dinner through Saturday dinner) We have a room at the bunkhouse for you to stay overnight or you can just come up for a day)

AFTER EVENT - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge, clean up retreat items

CHRISTMAS RETREAT

This is our annual retreat for single moms and kids.  It’s a big deal around here! What a blessing to have over 100 people spend the night at the ranch and experience Christmas together in a beautiful environment with other single moms.  We do everything from a Christmas Eve big screen movie, Christmas PJ’s, good food, presents (lots of them), stockings (like 60 hung in front of the fireplace) and homemade cinnamon rolls.

 

This event is great if you have a friend, family members, or small group that you would like to volunteer with.

HOUSEKEEPING BEFORE - clean bunkhouse rooms, clean lodge - this can be done any time within a couple weeks before Christmas.

PREPARATION - stockings, gift wrapping, food prep, PJ sorting, and more - we work on this the week before Christmas.  We’ll let you know specific dates if you’re interested in helping.

HELP CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY - cook & serve meals & meal clean up (Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas morning cinnamon rolls then brunch), Christmas Eve movie set up, popcorn & clean up), and someone to oversee it all. Our rooms are limited due to filling them up with families so you’ll need to bring a trailer or just come up for the day.

AFTER EVENT ON CHRISTMAS EVE (around 3pm) - just help us get the food all put away, dishes done &  trashes emptied.

WORK DAY Saturday, January 3rd -  great for a big group of people.  Clean bunkhouse rooms, get lodge back together and clean after Christmas and the Christmas break, clean up all of the Christmas stuff (put things away, clean up Santa’s workshop, etc…

ESTHER DAY

This is a day to spoil ladies with a day of Purim… a day of feasting and celebrating how God is always with us… even if we aren't faithful, He is faithful still!  It’s a one day event.

MOM’S DAY OUT AT 5ROCK

This is a one day event to celebrate single moms!  We do this around Mother’s Day so she feels loved and appreciated.  This is a day with a nice lunch, activities & just fun outside with the kiddos and other families by the river.

PREPARE - clean lodge, set up tables, crafts, buffet, decor & prepare food

DURING EVENT - finalize food and set out during the day (lunch only, but 2 hours of buffet time)

AFTER EVENT - clean lodge, put away all activity items and retreat items & food service clean up

FAMILY CAMP FOR SINGLE MOMS

This is an amazing weekend away for single moms & kids. The weekend is filled with fun, games, activities, secret spa day, horseback riding, archery, and more!  There will be almost a full day where the kids are at kid’s camp and the moms will have time to themselves.  What a blessing for these families!

 

We start preparing and setting up for this event 3 weeks in advance, but the need for help months before is also needed to help plan & purchase for camp.

 

Set up starts Monday, July 20 and goes through the start of camp.

Camp is Friday August 7 - Sunday August 9, 2026

 

We definitely can’t do this without a lot of committed volunteers! We need about 50 volunteers to make this happen.  If you’re interested we’ll give you the descriptions and more details about each position:

• Camp administrator - registration, paperwork, welcome notes, FB posts, name tags,  and all those types of things

• Camp director - help plan & oversee it all

• Mom’s activities director & station workers

• Kid’s camp directors & group leaders

• Activities director & station workers

• Food service coordinator & workers (before, during & after)

• Lodge service workers (before, during & after)

• Bunkhouse cleaning (before & after)

• Camp sponsors - we need financial help to make this happen

• Facility grounds prep

 

BBQ AT THE RANCH

This is a simple time to gather with friends, neighbors, and people curious about the ranch.  We’ll just hang out and share a meal.  Our hope is that we will build community through this quarterly BBQ at the ranch.

AFTER EVENT - clean lodge and amphitheater, clean up kitchen and food items

We believe God is in all of these details and has a desire for these camps and events to happen at the ranch.  He always supplies all of the funding and needs when He asks us to do something.  If you, your small group, or your church are interested in helping financially or sponsoring an event we would love to talk more. Volunteers are our lifeline.  You are what makes these events possible.  Our goal is to not only be the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone who God brings to the ranch, but to be the LIGHT of Jesus!
